Caters to novices and experts, making It a great choice for all
Background
The crypto usage is usually a phenomenon that reflects the country’s economic and social realities. Each region has its own unique backgrounds, habits, and even national policies. We must cater to the needs of multiple regions while considering the scalability and localization features of the financial service. Time is always tight; it's not just about changing the visual style, but most importantly, condensing and prioritising the features of the original professional version into a lightweight version.
My Role
My role & Responsibilities
I was invited to join the product team as a senior UX designer while the company is incubating a lite version of our crypto exchange.
Design Highlights
We incorporated bright colors, encouraging language, and easy-to-access interactions to make the experience of Lite app more approachable.

Ideation
Design and documentation
We presented wireframes and user experience flows to senior management and relevant teams to gather feedback. This included discussions on how to differentiate the color design between Lite and Pro versions without deviating from the brand identity, hierarchical distinctions in functionality, and the scalability of future additional services.
Final Design
Taking into account all the feedback and working under tight deadlines, we finally produced the first version of the design.
Guerrilla Testing
To quickly gather feedback without the time cost, we engaged real users at our own offline events and invited them to participate in testing. This included 30% active advanced users of our Pro App, 20% crypto Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and 50% newcomers to cryptocurrency trading. We received valuable feedback and will continue to iterate on design improvements based on these insights.
